equensWorldline on Finextra TV about Instant Payments
During EBAday, equensWorldline did a video interview with Finextra about Instant Payments. The title of the interview is ‘Instant Payments: Rip and Replace’.
The interview is about the different implementation strategies for Instant Payments across the globe, more specifically how smaller communities are handling this in comparison to Europe. This is very topical at this moment, especially following the recent news that Aruba contracted equensWorldline to leapfrog to Instant Payments. For smaller communities, it’s not a viable option to maintain an Instant Payment infrastructure next to the existing payments infrastructure in parallel. Therefore they have a different approach than the bigger communities. They tend to follow a ‘Rip and Replace’ strategy, immediately replacing their current batch-based payments system by an Instant Payments infrastructure. Also the development of ‘Request for Payment’ is addressed during the interview.
We invite you to watch the interview below, or on the Finextra website.
